We are offering Drive-By Birthday Parades as our current alternative to Community Room and Public Appearance requests because of restricted access to the fire stations due to COVID-19. Note that this is a drive-by only event, and the crew will not be getting out of the apparatus. This is a reservation for the fire truck to drive by the location. The idea is for us to join a parade organized by the individual; however, we are happy to drive by as the only vehicle as well. Please remember social distancing restrictions still apply.

We strive to make attending community events a priority; however, safety is our number one priority. We must balance requests to appear with emergency calls, daily duties, firefighter training, and other critical firefighting activities. Therefore, we must evaluate each request and the critical demands we encounter when we place a firefighting or life saving unit and crew out of service to be present at an event. We want to thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.

Rules

1. To schedule a Drive-By Birthday Parade, please fill out the information below and submit. Requests should be made at least 2 weeks in advance. Please allow 3-5 business days for a response to your request. The Parade is offered as a service to the residents of Nixa District only. You will need to provide information from the application in order to make the reservation request. The Parade is NOT available on Sundays. The Nixa Fire District cannot guarantee the availability of the Parade.

2. Reservations for the Nixa Fire District Drive-By Birthday Parade will be on a first come, first served basis. The availability is limited. We reserve the right to limit events that might interfere with normal fire station activities. Nixa Fire District safety takes priority.

3. In the event the crew is dispatched to a call please understand that they may not be available to accommodate the request.In case of this event you have the option to reschedule for a later date where possible.

4. Cancellation: Cancellation of the Parade reservation by the user within 72 hours of event will be appreciated.
